Humayun’s Tomb

A world heritage site under the UNESCO, this Humayun’s Tomb was constructed in the year 1570 by the wife of Humayun named Haji Begum. It is truly one of the most stunning works of Mughal Architecture to which the amazing Taj Mahal owes its design. If you visit there on Thursdays, you must walk to Dargaah of Nizam-ud-din Auliya for a beautiful spiritual qawwali evening. The ambience therein is really hypnotic and mesmerising.
